Fandango offers an eclectic and exciting menu featuring both traditional Spanish tapas as well as our signature Asian fusion menu which is served in the ‘tapas’ style. Our menu complements an extensive and original selection of wines.
Fandango has al fresco seating areas to the front and rear of the restaurant with ample seating and shade within the tranquil environs of Chijmes. The interior features dramatic oil paintings in the style of Pedro Alvarez, and the mood is set by the sounds of lounge, chill and dance music.
You will be surprised and delighted when a single glass of wine turns into an evening of great food, fabulous wine and animated conversation in the stylish environment that is Fandango.
About Us
Fandango was conceived by Emma Sebrof, a long standing member of the food and beverage industry in Asia. Emma gained a foothold in hospitality in Hong Kong, where she managed many restaurants for the Eclipse Management group including BOCA Tapas and Wine and the Caramba and Coyote Mexican restaurants. Emma moved to Singapore in 2008, when she helped establish and run the piano bar Howl at the Moon at Peranakan Place. She spent the past two years working as the Group General Manager for five pubs under the Gaelic Inns brand including Muddy Murphy’s and The Penny Black. Fandango at Chijmes is the latest bar Emma has opened and is the realization of a long time dream of owning her own bar and restaurant.
Wine Selection
Fandango’s extensive and varied wine list comprises up to sixty of our personally selected wines. A varying selection of twenty of these wines is offered by the glass.
The wine selection represents all major wine producing nations with the exception of France. French wines are left to the French restaurants! Spanish wine producers such as Muga and Marques de Riscal feature prominently, as well as Australian and New Zealand favourites D’Arenberg, Kim Crawford, and Cloudy Bay. Wines from South America also have a place at Fandango, and varietals such as Torrontes, Bonarda and Malbec are on the list from this region. The wine list offers guests an opportunity to try something a little out of the ordinary, and because there are so many wines available by the glass you can dare to be different without the risk of investing in a whole bottle.
Tapas
Tapas at Fandango are a foodies joy and not to be missed. Tasty morsels explode with flavor and have you drooling for more. We’ve priced moderately so that you can experience the variety of our tapas.
We aren’t bound by geography either. Both classic Spanish tapas dishes, such as Albondigas and Gambas al Ajillo, and tapas-styled dishes from many other cuisines, like Egg Tofu with Prawns, Calamari with Mango Mayo and Asian Pork Patties with Black Pepper Sauce are featured on the menu. These “Tapas with a Twist” are served alongside the traditional dishes, just order as your mood takes you.
